Mrs. Singh’s Class’ Tasks- April 20-27th, 2020
Hello Parents,
Thank you so much for all of your help and support at home helping your kids transition to online learning. This has been a very steep learning curve for us all, but I am very impressed with how these first two weeks went.
A few important pieces of information:
GOOGLE MEET
This is a time where I would like ALL students to join in and participate. Students will have an opportunity to chat with their peers to have a sense of normalcy. I will also be doing short lessons on topics we are learning about. This is a great time for students to connect with their peers and ask questions J
Next meeting: Wednesday, April 22 at 1pm
Class Nickname: sksingh51
OFFICE HOURS
These are times that I will be in our Google Meet space, available for online help for children. If they have a question or need help with assigned work, they can sign into our Google Meet space any time during these times, and I will be able to help them. This time is scheduled for student help. If parents have questions, please email me and we can schedule a separate time to talk. I am always available via email to answer questions. This is a wonderful time for students to have some one-on-one time with the teacher. Please note that this time is not mandatory for all students to come at these times. It is meant for anyone who has questions or needs help with assignments J
Mondays: 1:00pm-2:00pm
Fridays: 11:00am-12:00pm
If you were having trouble getting onto Google Meet, please email me and we will figure it out. I have figured out a better way to view students. You can install this free chrome extension onto your computer and it will allow your child to see everyone in the class and make it way easier for them to follow what is going on. Plus, they get to see all of their friends at the same time!! This is completely optional, students do not need this to participate in Google Meet conversations….it’s just a neat little add on!
You can install the FREE Google Chrome Brower extension here if you would like:
Here is a video to show you how to install this extension as well.
You can do these assignments in any order that you would like. The approximate time to complete your assignments are listed to help you plan your week. Subjects with a * signify things that need to be handed into me via Google Classroom

ADDITIONAL RESOURCES
Students still have access to the following websites and can use them for extra practice. If they do not remember their usernames or passwords, please email me. Most parents were sent a copy of all of their student’s passwords.
Prodigy: Math website
Typing.com: Students can practice their typing skills to increase their speed and accuracy
Spelling City: Kids can practice spelling words and learning new vocabulary
I understand that this may be a frustrating time with all this new information. Do whatever works best for your family, your schedule, your availability to technology and most of all YOUR PATIENCE!! You are doing awesome parents!!
Sincerely,
-Mrs. Singh
