Week 2 Learning Tasks

Mrs. Singh’s Class’ Tasks- April 13 -20^th, 2020

Hello Parents!

What a wonderful first week of online learning we have had this week. I would like to thank each and every one of you for your support, patience and understanding. We are all learning as we go with all this new technology. I am SO impressed with the students work so far, thank you for all you do to support your children each and every day.

To provide our students with more support, our class will be having google meet sessions more regularly. Our classroom code/nickname on google meet is: sksingh51

I will be available for set time of ‘office hours’ where students can login to google meet to ask questions about anything they are struggling with. We will continue our weekly whole class meeting on Wednesday afternoons. The following will be the times we will be meeting on google meet:

1.     Mondays (office hours) from 1:00- 2:00 pm

2.     Wednesdays (whole class meeting) from 1:00pm- 2:00 pm

3.     Fridays (office hours) from 11:00 am- 12:00pm

Please note that Monday April 13^th is a PD day and so our first google meet of the week will be on Wednesday April 15^th at 1:00 pm.

The following tasks are to be completed by Monday, April 20th. You can do them in any order that you would like. The approximate time to complete your assignments are listed to help you plan your week. Subjects with a * signify things that need to be handed into me via Google Classroom

Language Arts / Integrated Science and Social	Time- 3 hours
*Reading – Book Review        -    Read teacher assigned book on EPIC and complete a book             review (video or google slides)	1 hour
*Writing -       Write a biography one on member of your family who you interviewed last week	1 hour
*Science – Visual Literacy Page/Song  -       Make a visual literacy page  -       *Make a video of a song you came up with about sedimentary rocks and send it to Mrs. Singh via email	1 hour

Math	Time 2 hours
Fractions Lesson/Assignment - *Work on fractions assignments in google slides	1.5 hours
Prodigy -Prodigy Assignment on Fractions	30 min
